SAS are engaged by Newmont to have a permanent team on site, structural integrity works, special projects and custom builds.

SAS has completed a wide range of notable projects at Newmont Gold Mine over recent years, with our permanent onsite team as well as shut works where we had teams of up to 20 personnel working with Duratec and G&S Engineering.

Fabricate and install new Mill Bridges
Repair of the TNK 01 drive shaft motor base (top floor)
Removal and replacement of the Kilns, and Kiln roofs. The new roof structure SAS installed is a removable roof structure.
Fabricate and install of sulphuric acid pipe work.
Fabricate and install new stairs and handrails on the HPGR Stairwells.
